Configuring a Branch
First published on: 08/08/2023/10:38 pm
Each branch type has different configuration settings. The setup for each branch type is outlined below.
All branch types require the same basic settings:
-
ID – Unique branch identifier. You can customize the auto-generated ID, but it must be unique before you can save the workflow.
-
Description – Admin-facing branch name that's used in troubleshooting.
-
Branch type – This specifies which branch type the current branch is. Changing the branch type will remove previous configurations.
-
Enable branch – When checked, the branch will be executed by the workflow; otherwise, it will be ignored.
-
Message to use – The branch that will be inspected for advanced settings. This is specified for all branches but not applicable in all cases.
-
Exception handling mode – You can configure the exception handling mode for a branch, as outlined in Optionally Configure Exception Handling.
