Overview

Introduction

The Tax Jurisdictions feature has been incorporated into Lumiya to facilitate overwriting the tax amount in SAP Business One.

Upon activating this feature, the adjusted tax amount will be posted to SAP, eliminating the need to recalculate tax there.

This will address issues arising from rounding and price differences.

Tax Jurisdiction screen

Enabling the Tax Jurisdictions setting displays an additional icon next to the tax amount field on each line. This links the users to the “Jurisdictions” window.

Users can apply the necessary number of changes within the window and press 'Done' to save them.

These would then be reflected as the tax total in the selected invoice line.

This will address issues arising from rounding and price differences, but the responsibility remains with the users to ensure that the tax and jurisdiction data are still validated within Lumiya to ensure the correct SAP postings are uploaded.

Important Notes

• When opening a PI in Lumiya, the system uses the decimal places specified in the relevant setting for price calculation.
  • By default, Lumiya sends the PI with 6 decimal points from the OCR onto the Rapid Entry screen, even if the system's decimal point is set to 2. 
  • As a result, Lumiya may sometimes round the price and place the difference on the final line.
• The line tax amount does not update the tax jurisdiction breakdown, so it needs to be updated if the line values or tax code are altered.
• Lumiya has a validation feature that prevents users from submitting their PI if the tax amount on a line differs from the tax jurisdiction's amount displayed on the tax jurisdiction's screen.
