Salesforce Hyperforce Upgrade Guide

Overview

Salesforce is migrating to Hyperforce, an innovative new technology, on the backend. Salesforce is implementing the scheduled auto-updates, requiring no customer actions.

What Is Hyperforce?

Hyperforce is the next-generation Salesforce infrastructure architecture built for the public cloud. Hyperforce infrastructure is composed of code, not hardware, so the Salesforce platform and applications can be delivered quickly and reliably worldwide, giving customers more choice and control over data residency.

Salesforce products that run on Hyperforce benefit from Salesforce's commitment to privacy and integration of enhanced standards for compliance, security, agility, and scalability.

Between October 18, 2023, and December 31, 2024, there will be a phased migration of Salesforce’s customer production and sandbox environments to the Hyperforce environment.

Observation

The migration to Salesforce Hyperforce won't affect Saltbox integration.

Issue

If the Salesforce-Saltbox integration stops working, you must regenerate the security token.

Resolution

We're asking customers to generate a Salesforce user security token for the integration user in the Salesforce platform and update the user security token on the Saltbox-Salesforce Connector "Configuration" page.

Learn how to generate a Salesforce user security token here: https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.user_security_token.htm&type=5

Restart the engine, and integration will work again.

Note: You are not required to upgrade the Saltbox-Salesforce Connector.
