Loading and Unloading the V33 Shipping Add-on

Default for all users

To set the “Default Group” for all users in SAP Business One, open the Add-On administration screen. In the Company Preferences tab, select the appropriate “Default Group” value from the drop-down list next to the add-on name. The values correspond to the following functionality:

• Automatic: Vision33 Shipping will load automatically upon login. Note that a user must be enabled within the Vision33 Shipping user configuration screen before they may use the add-on.
• Disabled: Vision33 Shipping does not load at all and cannot be loaded until this setting is changed.
• Manual: Vision33 Shipping will only load when the user specifically starts the add-on.
• Mandatory: Vision33 Shipping will attempt to load automatically upon login, and SAP Business One will not start if the add-on does not load properly.

User Preferences

The add-on may be overridden on a per-user basis to load or not load, regardless of global settings. On the Add-on Administration window, open the “User Preferences” tab to manage each user’s settings. Select the desired user, then override that user’s preferences in the “Preferences” drop-down list. “Default” uses the global setting; all other options override the default global setting.

In many environments, the global setting is “Manual” and the user-specific override is “Automatic” only as-needed. 

Active and Inactive Add-ons

• Add-ons whose “Active” checkbox is checked in the Add-On Administration window may be loaded.
• Add-ons whose “Active” checkbox is not checked cannot be loaded.

Starting and Stopping the Add-on

If the Vision33 Shipping add-on is not configured to start automatically, it may be started manually as follows: Go to: Administration > Add-Ons > Add-On Manager to open the Add-On Manager window.

Select the Vision33 Shipping add-on. If the add-on is loaded, it will have a status of “Connected” while an unloaded add-on will have a status of “Disconnected”.

Press the Start or Stop button to load or unload the add-on.

NOTE: Upon its initial load, Vision33 Shipping will install necessary data required to run properly, excluding implementation-specific configurations (such as custom views). A system message will display indicating when the add-on is ready.
