SXP Production App Workflow Customisation

 

NB The following workflows are considered "Product" and these must not be amended in anyway.

  • SaveEvent_ProductionScheduler
  • SaveEvent_SFDC
  • SaveEvent_QC
  • SaveEvent_GoodsIssuesReceipts

 

However customization can be made using the follow method

 

It is possible to customize the SXP Production Workflows in a manner that does not affect the core elements of the solution provided. for example if a client requires further automation or actions to be carried out in SAP Business One.

 

Each of the core elements of SXP Production:  Production Scheduler, Shop Floor Data Capture, Quality Control and Inventory Transactions. Has the capability to run a custom Saltbox workflow (to be designed by the Implementation Consultants).

 

Any, all or none of these can be enabled by creating a custom workflow in the Saltbox Project and then setting the relevant Project Variable with the Workflow Name you require to run.

 

 

Things to Note:

 

  • If you spell the name of the workflow incorrectly, the workflow will not run.
  • Data Passed to the workflow is the data as presented from the orginating SXP Transaction. i.e. if you are enabling the custom workflow for a Production Scheduler Transaction, you are presented with the data relating to any CHANGED data in the Production Scheduler, it does not pass all data that is in the Production Scheduler.
  •  
  • The core product will have completed its work before the custom workflow is called this means for:
    • Production Scheduler
      • Planned Start and End Dates and Times have already been written back to SAP Business One
    • Shop Floor Data Capture
      • Status and Actual Dates and Times have already been updated in SAP Business One
    • Inventory Transactions
      • Any Goods Receipts from Production or Goods Issues from Production have already been posted in SAP Business One.
    • Quality Control
      • Quality Control Document has been attached to the Production Order in SAP Business One
      • UDF on the Production Order line has been updated to include the Pass or Fail Result
      • Shop Floor Data Capture record has been updated to Pass or Fail Result
